Type of Harness -

The best harnesses have a hook on the front.  Do not use the hook on your dogs back, it will only encourage pulling.  Put a knot on your leash for a better grip.

Etiquette -

Always walk against traffic.  Not only is this safer, but will also prevent collisions with other dog walkers.  Everyone should be doing this to create a safe environment.  Don't approach another dog unless both dogs are calm, behaved, and the dog owner shows control.  Don't let other dogs approach you without asking and then displaying control first.  Never let another dog owner approach you when their dog is pulling towards you, avoid these dogs!  Always walk with yourself between the cars and the dogs.

Landscape:

Natural cedar mulch is the best mulch for dog owners.  Although they look nice, everything else is loaded with chemicals.  Same goes for plants.....
